Does Aura require a subscription?

No. Every Aura ring includes lifetime access to the full Aura app and your full data. We do not paywall metrics, scores, or history. There is no monthly fee.

How is Aura different from Oura?

Aura tracks the same core metrics that drive sleep and recovery insight: heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, skin temperature trends, and sleep stages. The price difference is significant: Aura has no monthly subscription and sits at $239 to $334 instead of $349 plus $5.99/mo. Oura has a more mature ecosystem; Aura is built around useful insight rather than data overload.

How long does shipping take?

About two weeks from order to your door, with tracking. We'll email you a tracking number the day your order leaves the workshop.

Does Aura ship internationally?

U.S. only at the moment. International shipping is on the roadmap. Email reservations@neuralxaura.com to be notified when your country opens up.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, and Affirm. Klarna and Affirm let you split the order over four payments.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, before it ships. After it ships, return it within 30 days for a full refund.

What sizes does Aura come in?

Sizes 6 to 13 (U.S. standard). Take the 60-second sizing quiz, or measure with a string and ruler against the chart on the sizing page.

What if it doesn't fit?

30-day returns, no questions asked. We'll send the right size at our cost; return the wrong one in the prepaid mailer once your replacement arrives.

I'm between sizes. Up or down?

Size up. Fingers swell as the day goes on, after meals, and during summer. A snug ring at 9am will fight you by 4pm.

Is it comfortable to sleep in?

Yes. The outside is flat to the finger and the inside is rounded. Most people forget they are wearing it within a week.

What if my finger size changes?

If your size shifts within the first 90 days, email support@neuralxaura.com and we'll swap it for free. After that, the standard return window has closed but we still offer a discounted resize.

What materials is the ring made of?

Aerospace-grade titanium outer shell. Hypoallergenic medical-grade resin inside the band. Sapphire-coated sensor windows. No exposed nickel.

Will it trigger a nickel allergy?

No. The inner surface is hypoallergenic resin, not metal. People who can't wear stainless steel or rose gold jewelry usually wear Aura without issue.

Is it waterproof?

Water resistant to 50m. You can shower, swim, and wash dishes with it on.

Can I wear it in a hot tub or sauna?

Hot tub yes, briefly. Sauna no — sustained heat above 60°C / 140°F can shorten battery life and weaken the inner seal. Take it off at the door.

Will sunscreen, lotion, or hand sanitizer hurt the finish?

No. Wipe it off with a damp cloth when you remember. The finish is engineered to handle daily exposure to the things that touch your hands.

How do I clean it?

Warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, bleach, or jewelry-cleaning solutions. Once a month, a soft toothbrush + dish soap on the inside surface keeps the sensor windows clear.

Will it scratch easily?

Matte black hides the most. Brushed silver shows micro-scratches as patina (most owners come to like this). Rose gold sits in the middle. None of the finishes show damage from normal wear within the first year.

Where is Aura made?

Designed and engineered in the U.S. Assembled in Shenzhen at a partner workshop with a manual QC pass before every ring ships.

How long does the battery last?

7-10 days under normal use. Heavy workouts, hot weather, and continuous SpO2 monitoring shorten that to about 5-6 days.

How long does it take to charge?

Under an hour from empty to 100%. Most people top it off Sunday morning while making coffee.

How long does the charging case hold a charge?

The case carries enough reserve to fully recharge the ring two to three times before the case itself needs a USB-C top-up. Useful on longer trips.

Can I replace the battery?

The battery is rated for ~3 years of daily use before noticeable degradation. We don't sell user-replaceable batteries today, but our after-warranty service swaps the cell at our cost. Email support to start that.

What sensors are inside?

Multi-channel PPG (heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen), skin-temperature sensor, accelerometer, and a small thermistor for ambient compensation. Aura Pro adds a second PPG channel for cleaner overnight readings.

What does the Aura app actually show?

One daily readiness number, three contributors that drove it (sleep, HRV, recovery), and one short sentence on what that means for today. Plus a clean history view. No streaks, no badges, no paywalled coach.

How long until the readiness score is accurate?

It takes about 7-10 days for the app to learn your baseline. The first week's numbers will move around. After that they settle.

Does it work for shift workers or people with irregular schedules?

Yes. Aura tracks sleep when you sleep, not when the clock says you should. The app marks your main sleep window automatically and tracks naps separately.

Does the Aura app integrate with Apple Health, Google Fit, Strava, or Garmin?

Apple Health and Google Fit integration are live. Strava and Garmin are on the roadmap. We don't paywall integrations.

Is there a web app?

Read-only web view at app.neuralxaura.com. Setup and most interactions live in the mobile app.

Can I export my data?

Yes. CSV and JSON export are in Settings > Privacy. Your data is yours.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. End-to-end encryption between the ring, your phone, and our servers. Stored encrypted at rest. Only you and your account can decrypt it.

Is my data sold or shared?

No. We don't sell or share customer health data. Period. Read the privacy policy for the legal version.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Settings > Privacy > Delete my account permanently wipes all stored data within 30 days. We don't keep a backup.

What's the warranty?

2-year limited hardware warranty. Battery health is included. We cover defects, not user-caused damage like impact fractures.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturing defects, sensor failure, battery degradation beyond ~30% in the first 2 years, and finish issues that aren't the result of impact. We send a replacement and a prepaid return mailer.

What happens after the 2-year warranty?

We still service it. Out-of-warranty repair pricing lives at /pages/support. Battery swaps run about $39 plus shipping.

What if my ring breaks?

Email support@neuralxaura.com with your order number and a photo. Most replacements ship the next business day.

Does it work with iPhone and Android?

Yes. The Aura app is on iOS 15+ and Android 11+.
